Hospitalization
The Animal Hospital of High Park is equipped to hospitalize pets who require critical care, oxygen therapy and isolation. Hospitalization for your pet may be recommended if they need intravenous fluid support, medications that cannot be easily or practically given at home, or if there is a need to restrict mobility to provide adequate rest.
Our highly trained team of veterinarians, technicians and assistants carefully monitor hospitalized pets through detailed medical charts and physical exams through the day, with our doctors providing updates to pet owners daily. In those rare cases where a pet requires round the clock monitoring or treatment, we can readily arrange transfer to a 24-hour critical care facility such as the Veterinary Emergency Clinic or Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital which are staffed with board certified critical care specialists.
