Dr. Rachel Rodé hails from Windsor, Ontario and joined the High Park team in 2024. While completing her BScH at the University of Toronto, she solidified her love of the veterinary field after volunteering with the Toronto Cat Rescue and in various veterinary hospitals across the city. During this time, she also competed for the university’s swimming team. 

In 2020, Rachel moved overseas to begin her veterinary degree at the University of Edinburgh. Attending school in the United Kingdom allowed her to learn about the world’s highest standards of animal welfare as well as gain further experience treating exotic animals. 

Rachel lives with her fluffy cat named Simba and enjoys all things in the great outdoors: skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing, biking, and especially swimming (in a pool or the open water!). In her spare time, she enjoys travelling to experience nature’s wonders and exploring different areas of Toronto on her bike.
