Toronto born and raised; Michael has had a keen interest in animals since he was very young. With many different pets as members of the extended family, he has experience with a variety of companion animals and a particular interest in birds. Initially foraying into the journalism field after high school, Michael would return to his roots and aim towards working with animals. After working as a pet care associate for several years, he joined the AHOHP in the summer of 2021 as a veterinary assistant. Since then, he has continued to hone his skills and expand his knowledge of veterinary medicine, with aspirations of becoming a full-fledged technician.

Beyond work, Michael enjoys sketching, drawing, and making digital art. He also delves into writing, loves history and horror stories, and avidly plays video games. He shares his home with his shy Meyer’s parrot Scipio, his faithful black lab Shadow, and the family’s fearsome lovebird Olive.
