Born and raised in Toronto, Jeshan (or Jay for short) developed an interest in animals of all kind from all the nature documentaries he watched growing up. This interest led him to pursue a B.Sc. at the University of Toronto, majoring in Biology and French. While studying, he got the opportunity to work as a research assistant at a lab studying and working with venomous black widow spiders. Sometime after graduating, he joined as a veterinary assistant at the Animal Hospital of High Park and looks forward to learning more about animal care on all kinds of pets.

Other than spending time with his adopted cat, Monty, Jeshan enjoys watching all kinds of films, including indie and foreign. He is also interested in learning new languages and about new cultures. When the weather and time permits, he can also be found playing soccer.
