Born and raised in Fortaleza, Brazil, Ellen has always been fascinated with nature and wildlife. She moved to Canada in 2019 to pursue her childhood dream of working with animals. After graduating high school, she enrolled in the Animal Care program at Sheridan College in 2022. During her studies, Ellen volunteered at various animal shelters and vet clinics to gain further experience in the veterinary industry. 

In the summer of 2023, Ellen joined the AHOHP team as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. She is always happy to attend both pets and clients, and sees the various challenges of the veterinary field as opportunities to help sharpen her skills. 

When not working, Ellen enjoys winding the day down by spending time with her beloved cat, Kili. She also engages into digital art, cosplay, and loves playing videogames.
