Ashley was born in Belleville, ON but grew up in different areas of Etobicoke.  Working with animals was always her passion, and she couldn’t imagine doing anything else. She started her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Laurentian University in Sudbury of 2013, prior to applying to vet school, but realized she really enjoyed the technician side of vet medicine. Ashley graduated with honours in her BSc. Biology specializing in biomedicine and applied to the veterinary technician program at Sheridan College. In spring 2020 despite the new chaos of COVID-19, she graduated with honours and began working full time at the Animal Hospital of High Park in June where her keen interest to work with exotics could flourish.

While working full time, she studied for thE VTNE and became a Registered Veterinary Technician. Ashley is also Fear Free certified and continues to expand her knowledge in different aspects of veterinary medicine.  Outside of work, Ashley enjoys playing guitar and other instruments, bird watching, ultimate frisbee and road trips. She has two cats, two guinea pigs, a hamster and fish, but in the past has had birds, fostered a rabbit, and trained/fostered a future guide dog puppy with Lion’s Foundation of Canada.”
