Veterinary Technician

Born and raised in Toronto, ON, Alex has always had a passion for working with animals. Ever since she was young, she had dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She started off her career by completing her high school co-operative education hours at a veterinary clinic and then enrolling in the Animal Care Attendant program at Sheridan College in 2012.
After gaining knowledge and needing the field experience, she has worked her way through a doggy daycare, dog training, a pet store and now works at another veterinary clinic, as well as the AHOHP, as a learned veterinary technician! Alex is also fluent in English and Spanish.
Alex currently has three dogs, a dozen fish, two corn snakes, and two hamsters.  Whenever she isn’t working at both clinics, she enjoys hanging out at home with her son and her family. You can always find her winding down watching Criminal Minds or reorganizing anything she can find! Lastly Alex is an avid collector of Funko Pop figurines and has a huge collection!
